Intercessory Prayer Group

The Intercessory Prayer Group meets on Wednesdays from 2:30 to 4:00 PM for Bible study and to offer prayers of Thanksgiving for God's gifts and special blessings, for petitions of Healing, Guidance and Enfolding, Deaths and Bereavement and special conditions. Through prayer, the Intercessory Prayer Group intercedes through the great intercessor, Jesus Christ, and invokes the Holy Spirit at each gathering. The weekly prayer petitions are presented at the altar at the Thursday Healing Service.

Members of the group feel the presence of the Holy Spirit working among them, and a faithful core group makes the weekly sessions a priority in their lives. The Intercessory Prayer Group is supported by the Clergy and maintains confidentiality at all times. Confidentiality is vital. Names and circumstances entrusted to the group are kept in strict confidence.

The Power of Prayer
The Intercessory Prayer Group has a firm belief and trust in the power of prayer having seen miracles of healing and other evidence of God's grace acting in the lives of those whose petitions are offered.

The Intercessory Prayer Group uses the power of touch and laying on of hands when the opportunity presents itself.

The Intercessory Prayer Group wishes to convey to others both in and out of the Trinity Church community the joy and fulfillment of the ministry of serving God and coming to God regularly in prayer, all done in Jesus' name.

The opportunity to become part of this caring prayer group is open to all. Help the group meet the challenge given by the Clergy to make Trinity a praying church supporting our community through prayer.

Anyone interested in supporting this ministry or needing information on requesting prayer petitions, please contact the church office at (504) 522-0276.
