trinity Mission program

Volunteers from church youth groups, schools and colleges, and groups of friends return year after year to Trinity to serve in New Orleans. Trinity provides a safe and comfortable home away from home to those who come to contribute to the ongoing rebuilding of this beloved city.

Getting Started —
The first thing that we need from you is a completed intake form for your group. This will tell us who you are, when you plan to be here and what services you request from us. Once you have returned the intake form along with a $200 non-refundable deposit made out to Trinity Church, we can confirm and reserve your dates on the calendar. Molly’s House is not available during Mardi Gras parade season.

Our Accommodations —
“Molly’s House” is Trinity’s dedicated youth ministry center. Molly’s House serves a dual purpose as the youth group meeting area in the downstairs common room and the accommodations for visiting volunteer groups in the dormitory space. This is one of the few buildings in the city that was designed to include mission trip facilities.

Molly’s House is located directly across the street from Trinity Church in the heart of the Garden District. We have accommodations for up to 22 people in two dorm rooms. This is the maximum sleeping capacity of the building. For your planning purposes, please know that one dorm room has 10 beds and another has 12 beds. Each dorm room has a bathroom with two showers. Amenities include wifi, large kitchen, dining space, laundry facilities, common rooms, as well as the fabulous covered porches. All linens and towels provided!

Shared Common Room —
Trinity’s youth ministry meets in the downstairs common area for regular Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. If your group is staying in the dormitory the same weekend as a scheduled youth event, you have access to all of the house except the downstairs couch area for a few hours. Only you have access to dormitory rooms and bathrooms during your stay. Email Rev. Jane-Allison Wiggin-Nettles at to review the schedule of youth events.

Guidelines —
The minimum age for any participant is 13 unless special permission is given. For groups of mix-gendered young people under the age of 18 we require that you have at least one male and one female chaperone 21 years or older. For mix-gendered college groups we require that you have one male and one female chaperone 25 years or older. As a general guideline we suggest that your ratio of students to chaperones be in the range of 5 to 1. If you have a group of 16 students, for example, we recommend that you have 3-4 adult chaperones.

Cost —
Our required donation is $25 per night/per person minus your deposit due upon arrival for all groups who stay at Molly’s House.

Forms to Bring —
In addition to a check for your housing you will need to bring the following forms. Please fill out our Liability Form and also bring a copy of your organization’s Insurance Liability Acord form. See our Acord Form Sample.

We look forward to hearing from you!
